Tropical Storm Patty has formed east north east of the Bahamas. Currently about 255 miles NE of the central Bahamas and is nearly stationary at this time. Sustained winds of 40mph. A slight forward motion southward is expected during the evening and through Friday. However the center of Patty is expected to remain NE of the central Bahamas, then the system is forecast to dissipate and fall apart...thus, Patty is expected to be short-lived.
Elsewhere, a tropical wave is about 100 miles SE of Barbados. Environmental condition are somewhat favorable for development during the next several days. Movement toward the NW at about 10-15mph.
