THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - A truck driver was killed when a tractor-trailer rig ran off the elevated portion of U.S. 90, state police in southeastern Louisiana said.
Police said the accident happened about 5 a.m. Friday near the exit for Chacahoula and Thibodaux.
The truck left the eastbound lane of a portion of the highway that is about 15 feet off the ground, according to The Daily Comet of Thibodaux.
The identity of the driver was not available.
