A weakening frontal trough approaching Acadiana from the north Tuesday should enhance the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms (near 40%) through Wednesday.
Look for partly cloudy, hot and humid conditions away from shower activity with highs reaching the lower 90s.
Best time for shower and thunderstorm activity over the next few days will be from mid-morning through the afternoon hours.
A typical summer pattern will resume across the area later this week into the weekend with widely scattered mainly afternoon showers and a few thunderstorms (20-30%).
Summer officially begins at 12:03am Friday, but as usual, summer conditions have already been in the area over the last month!
