Tropical Storm Isaac Update

TS Isaac currently located about 375 miles ESE of Key West, Florida. Movement continues NW...now at 20mph. Maximum sustained winds of 60mph and a central pressure of 997 MB. Overall Isaac is disorganized, yet convection around the center has intensified the last few hours. Not much change expected tonight, but strengthening is possible tomorrow as it approaches open waters of the eastern Gulf.

Currently, models showing Isaac becoming a category 1 hurricane by tomorrow night and possibly a category 2 by late Tuesday morning. Most spaghetti models continue Isaac on a NW track all the way until landfall...clustered between New Orleans, LA and Pensacola, FL. Current NHC track has Isaac making landfall near both Destin, Florida and Mobile, Alabama around Tuesday afternoon into very early Wednesday morning.
