The second tropical storm of the Atlantic Season was upgraded Wednesday afternoon in the Bay of Campeche. Tropical Storm Barry, with 40mph sustained winds will make landfall early Thursday near Veracruz, Mexico.
Barry may strengthen to 45mph winds or a little more prior to landfall. Barry was moving westward near 10mph.
Flooding rains up to 10" will be likely in the Mexican state through Friday.
There is no threat to the U.S. by this system.
Elsewhere in the tropics, a tropical wave near the Leeward Islands is moving into a hostile area for development at this time.
