Troopers seize $5-hundred-thousand in narcotics

It was a busy weekend for Troopers with the Louisiana State Police. Over the past weekend Troopers worked diligently with other local, state, and federal agencies to rid our streets of dangerous narcotics. During traffic stops made along Interstate 10, Troopers recovered over 290 pounds of marijuana, 2.3 kilos of cocaine, and seized $5,500.00 in US Currency. The narcotics had a combined street value of $500,000.00.
Troopers will continue to work with local, state, and federal agencies to keep illegal narcotics off our streets and out of your kids' hands.
