Troopers Continue to Seek Witnesses in Prairieville Injury Crash

Louisiana State Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward with information on a motorcycle crash involving an off-duty Baton Rouge City Police Officer in July. Troopers say it happened July 22 just after 7:30 a.m. on LA Hwy 42 west of LA Hwy 929 in front of Walgreen's in Ascension Parish. Investigators say the officers received minor injuries in the crash.

This crash remains under investigation, and Troopers are seeking any witnesses to the event. State Police has had several witnesses come forward with information, but Troopers are specifically searching for a white male who is balding and has a goatee. They believe the suspect was driving an SUV, and stopped at the scene to help the BRPD officer pick up his motorcycle. Troopers believe that this unknown individual was a firsthand witness to the crash, and not a suspect. Troopers wish to speak with him, but still ask that anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any additional information please contact Louisiana State Police Troop A at 225-754-8500 or their local law enforcement agency.
