A Louisiana State Trooper and an Acadia Parish Deputy are credited with saving the life of a Eunice man; pulling him from a burning vehicle.
Trooper Trent Hanks and Deputy Mike Boddye received a call about a single-vehicle crash on I-10.
Troopers say the car went off the interstate and smashed into several trees.
When Trooper Hanks and Deputy Boddye found the driver, he was incoherent and locked inside.
According to Louisiana State Police, Trooper Hanks broke the window in an attempt to free the driver.
As he and Deputy Boddye began removing the driver, the car caught fire.
Just before the car became fully engulfed in flames, Trooper Hanks and Deputy Boddye were able to rescue the driver who was then transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
