Trial for a Morgan City man accused of killing a Bayou Vista man has been postponed three times. Darby Mack Frickey's May 6 trial has been postponed until July 22. He's accused of killing Mark Berthelot, whose body was found by a farmer in Nov. 2011 on Hwy 317 in Centerville. Frickey is charged with second degree murder. After Frickey's arrest, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said a fight led to Berthelot's death.
Frickey's trial was initially scheduled in August then pushed back until October. The October date was then rescheduled for May 6.
