Transport company dispatcher arrested for theft

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A dispatcher at a Shreveport transportation company has been arrested for stealing more than $85,000 from his employer.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator says 26-year-old Joseph Patterson worked as a dispatcher and also was responsible for paying drivers, so he had access to the company's payroll account.
Patterson was arrested Tuesday for felony theft and remained in custody Wednesday. Bond has not been set.
