Louisiana State Police arrested a Texas man Monday during a traffic stop for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.

On January 10, 2011, at 4:30 pm, troopers performed a traffic stop on a 2006 Dodge Ram on Interstate 10 eastbound near milepost 109. Troopers identified the driver as 22-year-old Felipe Paz of Brownsville, TX. During the stop, troopers obtained consent to search the vehicle revealing 10.91 kilos of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $240,000.

After detectives with the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigation interviewed Paz, he was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, no driver's license, and having improperly working lights on his vehicle. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail.
