TOKYO (AP) - Toyota Motor Corp. says production at one of its
main factories in China remains shut due to a strike, while Honda
Motor Co. says operations at a car assembly plant resume following
the end of a labor dispute.
Toyota, the world's largest automaker, said its plant in
southern Guangzhou remained closed Thursday due to the strike.
Production at the Guangzhou plant, which represents about half of
Toyota's total capacity in China, has been halted since Tuesday.
Honda said production at one of two auto assembly plants at its
joint venture Guangqi Honda Automobile Co. resumed Thursday
following a one-day suspension caused by labor unrest.
