Toxicology results show man impaired in crash that killed Cacie Barras

A Lafayette man has been charged with Vehicular Homicide in the death of Cacie Barras who died in a crash on June 10. Toxicology tests have been pending for Wade Barrett Lohse, 42, and results show he was impaired at the time of the crash, according to Lafayette Police Cpl. Paul Mouton. Lohse had minor injuries and was cited for having an open container and driving on the wrong side of the road. The crash happened on Youngsville Hwy. when Lohse crossed the centerline and hit Barras' vehicle, according to Lafayette police.

Lohse is in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Facility and his bond is set at $150,000.
