Town of Washington Daily Arrest Report

WASHINGTON POLICE PRESS RELEASE - On 1-25-2014 Officer Yolonda Lewis with the Washington Police Department received a tip from the Tip line stating that a male subject named Jace Deshotels was coming to the carwash in the rear of the Citgo station located in Washington to buy some pills. Officer Lewis positioned herself and waited from Mr. Desotels to arrive to the carwash. The Officer waited until Mr. Deshotels left the Citgo parking lot and made a traffic stop on his vehicle down the street. Mr. Desotels upon the officer approaching his vehicle became very nervous. The Officer asked Mr. Deshotels if he had anything in the vehicle that she needed to know about. Mr. Deshotels stated to the officer that the only thing he had in the vehicle was a bottle of pills that belonged to him. The Officer asked Mr. Deshotels to see the medication and observed that the pill that were in the bottle were not the ones that was supposed to be inside of the bottle. Mr. Deshotels was taken into custody at that time and transported to the Washington Police Department Jail and Booked for RS: 40:968A1 Possession W/intent to Dist. Schedule III Drugs

In a separate incident on 01-25-2014 Officer's with the Washington Police Department received a complaint of two black male subjects who forced themselves inside of a residence and threatened the owner of the home at gunpoint. The complainant stated that once inside of her residence the subjects told her they wanted money and drugs. The complainant stated that she had her medication in her room and they took the pills and then left the residence. On 01-26-2014Mr. Keith Joseph was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Washington Police Department where he was booked for RS: 14:64.3 Armed Robbery, RS: 40:968A1 Possession W/intent to Dist. Schedule III Drugs, and 40:966C Possession of Schedule I Drugs. There has been a Felony Arrest warrant signed for the Arrest of the second suspect Mr. Ramon Mack Guillory. Mr. Guillory was unable to be located by the officer's. Anyone who has information on where Mr. Guillory can be located is asked to contact the local Police Department. Mr. Guillory is considered to be Armed and Dangerous. Officer's have also been told by Mr. Keith Joseph that Mr. Guillory stated that he is not going down easy do please do not attempt to approach Mr. Guillory, again alert the local Police Agency.


In the last incident Sgt. H. Peterson the Washington Police Department K-9 Officer while patrolling the East side of town in an area known as the bottom observed a white vehicle heading West down Gordan Street and the driver was not wearing his seatbelt. Upon the officer initiating his emergency lights and siren he observed the driver of the vehicle reach his left hand out of the window of the vehicle and drop a small plastic bag in front of a vacant residence and continue to drive. The Officer called out the address of where the subject dropped the object and continued to follow hin for about a block still with his lights and siren in in an attempt to stop the vehicle. Upon the driver stopping the vehicle the officer approached the vehicle and had the driver exit his vehicle. The officer at that time advised the driver that he was not under arrest but he was being detained. At that time additional officers arrived on the scene. Officer Peterson then walked back to where he observed the driver drop the bag and located a small plastic bag filled with a green vegetable substance consistent with that of Marijuana. Officer Peterson at that time advised the Dispatcher via Police Radio and then walked back to his vehicle and advised Mr. Gordan Tatman that he was now under arrest. The officers asked Mr. Tatman if he had anything else inside of the vehicle and he stated the only thing he has was the gun that was registered in his name. Mr. Tatman was then transported to the Washington Police Department where he was advised of his rights as per Miranda and then booked for RS: 32:295.1 No Seatbelt, RS: 40:966C Possession of Schedule I drugs, RS: 14:95.1A Firearm in the Possession of a Felon, and 14:95E Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a CDS.
