Officials say two young toddlers, ages 1 and 2, were killed in a Houma house fire.
Mike Millet, an inspector with the Houma Fire Department, tells The Courier the fire's cause is under investigation and may take a week to determine.
Millet said the victims, a 1-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy, were pulled from the home early Saturday morning after the fire was extinguished.
The names of the victims and their parents weren't released.
The state Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the blaze.
Millet says the children's bedroom was at the front of the home, and the exact cause of death is unknown and pending autopsies.
