Toddler in Critical Condition

An Evangeline Parish two year old boy remains in critical condition, after getting hit by a car on Saturday.
It happened around 8:30 on LA104 west of LA29. State police say 61-year-old Raynolds Launet of Ville Platte was traveling east on LA104 when he exited a curve and struck the child.
Authorities say the boy wandered into the road. He was struck by the front left corner of Launet's vehicle. Launet was not cited.
The boy is recovering at Lafayette General Medical Center.
