Tip Leads Investigators to Arrest in Copper Theft

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Eunice Detective Division investigated two separate incidents of copper theft from the Cleco facility located in Eunice.

Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz said, "Thanks to a tip received by St. Landry Crime Stoppers, an arrest has been made by Eunice Sub-station Detectives. The tip helped officers to identify the individual caught on Cleco security video cameras."

Sheriff Guidroz stated "This is a perfect example of how the Crime Stoppers Program works. It is the public helping Law Enforcement to make St. Landry Parish a better place to live."

Arrested was Eric Ray Arabie, 1046 Pelican Road, Basile, La, for two counts burglary, Two counts theft.
