The low pressure system in the Bay of Campeche is doing more then causing a few forecasting headaches, but will also result in a Coastal Flood Advisory along the Louisiana coast line.
A high pressure system that is anchored over New Jersey and that low pressure system in the Bay of Campeche are creating rather strong winds out of the southeast, resulting in higher swells and causing a tidal pile up.
Tides over the next few days will be running 1-2 feet higher then normal over the next several days, and may result in minor flooding along the coast.
Flooding will be more of an inconvenience then anything else but could but some coastal roadways around Sabine Pass, Holly Beach, Intracoastal City, Cypremore Point, and Burns Point under a little water.
The advisory will remain in effect until 7:00 am Saturday morning, and will impact only the coastal parishes.
