For the first time in program history, the UL Ragin' Cajuns softball will have the road to Oklahoma City goes right through Lamson Park. The Cajuns earn the No. 6 seed in this year's NCAA Tournament as announced Sunday evening during the NCAA Selection Show. UL will host the Lafayette Regional beginning this Friday. The other teams that complete this year's field are: Texas, Mississippi State and Texas Southern.
The Cajuns (44-8-1) will open up Regional play against Texas Southern (31-18) Friday at 6:00PM. The Lady Tigers are making their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance. The Lafayette Regional begins with Texas (33-21) squaring off with Mississippi State (38-19) at 3:00PM.
This is the second time in three years that the Ragin' Cajuns will host a Regional. UL has lost in the Super Regional round the past three years. If the Cajuns advance to the Supers, it will host the winner of the Tuscon Regional featuring No. 11 Arizona, LSU, Louisville and Boston.
Tickets can be purchased by filling out this form and bringing it to the CAJUNDOME ticket office, or by scanning it and emailing it to ULTickets@Cajundome.com. All seats will be assigned and will be allocated by 2014 RCAF Donor Level, with season ticket holders getting priority over all others.
