Three people are recovering after a car crash in Carencro Saturday afternoon.

It happened at the intersection of University and Kentwood around 4:30. Three cars were involved in the crash and police say a vehicle making a left turn from University hit a car and then that vehicle hit another. The three hurt do not have life-threatening injuries.

A child was also in one of the vehicles, but got out safely.

Carencro Police Chief Carlos Stout says "Had the child been located in the right passenger back seat of the compartment, it could have been fatal. But, being that the child was strapped in the middle the child was able to survive with no injuries."
