Three arrested while transporting drugs to Mississippi

At 2:00 A.M. Friday morning, December 9th, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit Criminal Interdiction Team stopped a vehicle on Interstate 10, near mile marker 115. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. Three occupants in the vehicle were all found to be in possession of 2,861 grams of marijuana. The three men are Charles Schippel, 17 years-old from Mississippi, Anthony Rhone, 20 years-old of Mississippi, and Frank Walker, 32 years-old of Mississippi.
All three men were reportedly traveling in a rental vehicle from Texas to Mississippi. They have been been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
