Third Man Arrested in Online Predator Sting

Franklin police have arrested another man they say tried to use the internet to solicit sex from a minor. Officials say Jimmy Joseph Westerfield, Jr., of Napoleonville spoke with a decoy posing as a 15-year old. Westerfield is charged with computer-aided solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes, indecent behavior with juveniles, and attempted possession of pornography involving juveniles. Westerfield is the third man arrested in this investigation. One of those men, John Edward Westerfield, is his first cousin.
