GRETNA, La. (AP) Another Jefferson Parish corrections officer has been arrested.

Col. John Fortunato, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, says 41-year-old Cecelia Mani, of Metairie, is accused of stealing bond money while working in the jail's intake center.

Mani was booked Thursday with one count of theft after investigators claimed she stole $60 while working at the Gretna jail. Fortunato says investigators were looking into missing money, and when they questioned Mani, she admitted the theft.

Fortunato says it is believed to have been a one-time offense and Mani has been fired.

Mani is the third Jefferson Parish corrections officer arrested this month. Donald Isom was booked with marijuana possession following a traffic stop and Joshua Williams faces a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling after he allegedly entered an ex-girlfriend's home without permission.
