THIBODAUX, La. (AP) - Police say a man already in jail on a vehicle theft charge now faces additional charges in the theft of a Thibodaux government truck that was found severely damaged in a ditch near Raceland.
Thibodaux Police said that the city's Parks and Recreation Department truck was found Dec. 24.
Police later identified 22-year-old Chase Ordoyne of Kraemer as a suspect. He was already in the Lafourche Parish jail after being arrested Monday and booked with a separate vehicle theft.
Ordoyne is now charged with a second motor vehicle theft charge as well as felony criminal damage to property. He remained in the Lafourche Parish jail Thursday in lieu of bonds totaling $47,000.
