The Rant: Should Melissa McCarthy be criticized for her weight?

While reviewing "Identity Theft," the number one movie of the week, movie critic Rex Reed called the star of the movie, Melissa McCarthy, "a humongous creep", "tractor-sized" and "a female hippo." Defending his comments on New ...York's WOR-AM, Reed said, "That's what her career is about, she is basing her career on being obnoxious and being overweight and I don't think that's funny." McCarthy has so far not commented, but her first cousin, actress Jenny McCarthy, said, "Melissa is very talented and doesn't deserve that and he can go to hell."
