BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Campers and visitors to Louisiana's
state historic sites have two weeks before fees go up.
The Office of State Parks says state park entry fees will remain
$1. On July 1, the fee at state historic sites will rise from $2 to
The cost of group camps - now $150 to $400 - will rise to a
range of $200 to $500, depending on the number of beds.
The wave pool at Bayou Segnette will cost $10 for anyone over 4
feet tall, and $8 for anyone shorter than 4 feet. Swimming pools at
five parks remain covered by the entrance fee.
The cost of cabins, lodges, and improved and premium campsites
also is going up.
The price will remain the same for current reservations.
