The 2012 Kellogg's® Tour of Gymnastics Champions, a national tour featuring Team USA's top performing gymnasts following the 2012 Olympic Games in London, is coming to Lafayette, Louisiana's CAJUNDOME on October 21, 2012.
2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin will lead an impressive cast that will include members of the men's and women's 2011 World Championships and 2012 Olympic teams, along with past Olympians and U.S. medalists in men's, women's, rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling.
Today's guest was the 2012 US OLYMPIC TEAM MEMBER John Orozco of Colorado Springs, CO/ Team Hilton HHonors; December 30, 1992.
2012 U.S. Olympic Team member. Kicking off the Olympic year, Orozco won three Winter Cup Challenge. His titles include (all-around, parallel bars and horizonal bar) plus a silver medal on the pommel horse. In 2011, his first year competing as a senior, he was named to the World Championships team that won the bronze medal in Tokyo, where he also finished fifth in the all-around. Earlier that year, he earned three U.S. National medals, including a bronze in the all-around and on both the pommel horse and horizontal bar. As a junior in 2010, Orozco won the junior Pacific Rim Championships all-around and horizontal bar titles and was second on the pommel horse, still rings and parallel bars. Orozco's all around score for the junior title would have won the senior men's session at the Pacific Rim Championships. He is currently training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., and coached by Vitaly Marinitich.
