Texas Sex Offender Charged with Failing to Register

A Texas sex offender has been arrested in Calcasieu Parish twice in the last month for failure to register in Louisiana. Paul Landry, Jr., moved to Lake Charles from Texas after being released from Huntsville Prison. He was arrested on June 26 for failing to register within three days of his move. Landry bonded out of jail last Monday, but he was arrested again last Friday when he again failed to register within three days of his release. He was convicted in 2008 for illegal restraint of a victim under the age of 17. He now faces two counts of failure to register as a sex offender.
