A Texas man has pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in the October death of a Scott man.
Alfredo Tierrablanca entered the plea this morning in a Lafayette courtroom.
Prosecutors say Tierrablanca was drunk behind the wheel last October 14 when he ran a red light at the corner of Ambassador Caffery and Eraste Landry Road and slammed into another car driven by 24-year-old Daniel Short. Short later died at a local hospital.
Tierrablanca faces a 30 -year prison sentence. No sentencing date has been set.
