TALLULAH, La. (AP) - Madison Parish Interim Superintendent Donald Frazier said the district is progressing in its investigation into testing irregularities at Madison Middle School, but have not reached a conclusion.
District level testing coordinators will travel to Baton Rouge later this month to meet with the state department of education before presenting its results to the board.
The News-Star reports Madison Middle School had excessive wrong to right erasures on eighth-grade LEAP English/language arts tests, 13 eighth-grade LEAP math tests, and 18 seventh-grade iLEAP math tests.
The erasures were discovered by the vendor of the state's standardized tests during grading.
Madison was recognized by the state earlier this year for increasing the percentage of students scoring basic and above on standardized tests.
