Terrebonne Parish probes apparent murder, suicide

HOUMA, La. (AP) - The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating an apparent murder suicide near Houma.
WVUE-TV reports the sheriff's office got the call just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday and found the bodies of a husband and wife at a home on T. Leigh Drive.
Investigators say the woman had been shot several times and the man suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
Family members say the couple had two daughters, ages three and seven.
Authorities say the 7-year-old saw a pool of blood near a bedroom door, and went to a neighbor's house to call 911.
