Terrebonne high school bands to get new uniforms

HOUMA, La. (AP) - Terrebonne Parish high schools will retire their old band uniforms next year after 14 years of use.

Secondary education supervisor Graham Douglas tells The Courier the school district plans to spend about $300,000 using money set aside specifically for new uniforms.

Douglas says the spending will be divided among the parish's four high schools based on need, taking into consideration the number of band members at each school as well as anticipated growth.
