It's the forecast that many residents in Acadiana have been looking for, milder conditions moving into the region.
Cold temperatures will hang around on Wednesday night with breezy conditions making wind chill rather frigid.
Plants and pets should be taken care of Wednesday but it doesn't look to get cold enough to cause much concern for the pipes.
This is the last stand for winter weather for the foreseeable future, as temperatures will be on the rise starting Thursday.
As the skies clear and the sun comes out we will still struggle to get back to average highs, but the thermometer should top out in the lower to mid 50s.
Another quick round of clouds expected on Friday which likely won't produce anything in the form of precipitation and temperatures will climb back up to average (which this time of year is in the mid 60s).
The extended forecast is a quiet one which will make a nice break from what will certainly go down as one of the wildest winters Acadiana has seen for a long time.
