LAKE CHARLES | Two Lake Charles teens were arrested Thursday when, after being seen pushing a vehicle out of a driveway and driving away, police pulled them over.
Brandon Scott Guillory, 17, was charged with auto theft, resisting arrest, and not having a rivers license. He is being held on $6,500 bond. Alain Maurice Newman Jr., 17, faces charges of auto theft and simple possession of marijuana. He was being held on $7,500 bond.
Lake Charles Police responded to the 200 block of Orchard Street in reference to the pair being observed pushing the victim's vehicle out of the driveway. The suspects then entered the vehicle and left the area.
Another officer observed the vehicle traveling northbound on Pithon Street and pulled the vehicle over. Guillory fled on foot and was later apprehended. Newman was apprehended with the vehicle.
