BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police have arrested a teenager in the June 3 shooting death of 34-year-old Henry Thomas.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely says the 17-year-old is accused of fatally shooting Thomas during a drug-related attempted robbery.
McKneely says the teen was booked Monday into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
At the time of his arrest, McKneely told The Advocate the 17-year-old was free on bail in an attempted second-degree murder case. A trial for that case is set for October.
