Teen shot at bus stop near NO high school

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans Police say a teenager is in critical condition after a shooting near John McDonogh High School and at least one person is being questioned by detectives investigating the incident.
New Orleans Police Department spokesman Frank Robertson III says the shooting happened shortly after 2:15 p.m. Wednesday at a bus stop, a couple of blocks from the school. He says the gunfire followed an altercation between groups of teenagers dressed in school uniforms.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. There was no report of any other injuries.
The Times-Picayune reports police could not confirm whether the boy who was shot was a student at John McDonogh.
