Teen Dies in Vermilion Parish Crash

KAPLAN, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a three
vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Kaplan teenager.
Troopers say 17-year-old Joseph Eddington was traveling south on
La. Highway 35 south of Kaplan Wednesday when his vehicle crossed
the center line and struck a truck head-on. After impact, they say
Eddington's vehicle rotated and struck another vehicle.
Eddington was pronounced dead at the scene by the Vermilion
Parish Coroner.
Troopers say two 17-year-old passengers in his vehicle suffered
minor injuries. The driver of the truck and three in his vehicle
were treated for minor injuries and the driver of the third vehicle
was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
