Teen Dies Following Police Involved Shooting

A Breaux Bridge teenager has died after police-involved shooting. Officials at St. Martin Hospital say Daraneisha Harris died Sunday night in the emergency room. State police say Harris drove head-on into a police car earlier that evening near the intersection of Wade and Landry Streets before backing into a driveway and running over a pedestrian. Investigators say at least one officer opened fire on Harris and struck her. State police are still investigating the case and say more details will come later today.
