BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) A 19-year-old man has died after being shot in the head early Sunday.
Baton Rouge police spokesman Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said Frankie Hamilton was shot at his home.
McKneely said Hamilton died Monday at a local hospital where he was being treated for his wounds.
Investigators believe Hamilton was shot by a 16-year-old boy with whom he was arguing.
McKneely tells The Advocate the argument escalated into a fight and then a shooting.
Police arrested the 16-year-old and placed him into juvenile detention on one count each of second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
