Teen Charged with Stealing SUV, Crashing into House

A 16-year-old boy is in the Rayne jail after he allegedly drove an SUV through a fence and into a house. The incident took place around 10:30 Friday morning in the 300 block of West Harrop Street. Police say the boy stole the SUV from a local residence earlier in the day. They say the crash knocked the house off its foundation. The suspect faces several charges, including vehicle theft and reckless operation.
