HOUMA, La. (AP) - A teenager in Houma has been booked with hit-and-run driving in an accident that injured an 11-year-old boy.
The driver told Terrebonne sheriff's deputies that it was foggy at the time of the accident and he didn't notice children waiting for a bus near an apartment complex.
The Courier reports that witnesses told investigators they saw a blue Mustang strike the boy and run over his left ankle before leaving the scene. An investigation of a car in the Terrebonne High School parking lot led to the arrest of the suspect.
