Teen bicyclist killed in Rapides Parish crash

GLENMORA, La. (AP) - State police say a 15-year-old from Glenmora was killed when his bicycle was hit by a car.
The accident happened around 2:10 p.m. Wednesday on U.S Highway 165 at C. Walters Road in Rapides Parish.
Investigators say Jacob L. Simpson's bike collided with a car being driven by 19-year-old Lacey J. Jordan of Oakdale.
Troopers say Simpson was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to a hospital in Alexandria where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
