Teen accused of extortion, stalking and defamation

A 17-year-old Moss Bluff teen is accused of secretly recording a pornographic video of an ex-acquaintance, harassing her, and distributing the nude videos.

According to a press release, on August 24, 2013, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched in reference to a report of harassment.

Between August 19 and 24, deputies say Noah S. Hinton sent numerous intimidating and profane text messages to the victim, threatening to distribute nude videos of her if she did not do what he asked.

Deputies say witnesses confirmed they received pornographic videos of the victim that were sent to them via text message and/or email. The videos were allegedly recorded by Hinton without the victim's consent during a video chat from their phones.

Hinton was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 3 counts extortion; 1 count of stalking; 1 count of defamation; and 1 count of telephone harassment.

Judge David Ritchie set his bond at $325,000.
