Tech Talk: Before And After You Cast Your Ballot

Acadiana will have the Presidential candidates and local positions on the ballot November 6th, but with all those amendments, do you really know what you're voting for? With a lot of important decisions to be made on Election Day, you want to be sure you know exactly who, and what you're voting for. Thanks to technology, you'll be able to hold this election in the palm of your hands.

If you want a run down of what to expect on election day, head over to pollvault.com. There, you'll be able to enter your zip code, and see who's running in your specific area. You'll also be able to read up on proposed amendments, along with a quick summary of what they are, so there's no confusion when you vote.

To ensure there's no confusion after you vote, download the 270 to win app for your tablet from the app store. This software gives you instant access to everything you need to know about election night. For example, it has a real-time breakdown of different projections for the presidential elections.

And that's not all. Would you want to see how the election turned out over 100 years ago? Select "The History" and you can travel back in time to see presidential elections as far back as 1789. And if you'd like to take a closer look at a specific state, just head over to "The States" to see how may electoral votes each state gets, as well as a history of that state's voting record.

Pollvault.com can be visited from any computer. The 270 To Win app can only be downloaded on the iPad through the Apple App Store.
