RUSTON, La. (AP) - The director of Louisiana Tech's School of Literature and Language has been named the new dean of the university's College of Liberal Arts.
The university says Donald Kaczvinsky will become dean Sept. 1, pending approval by the University of Louisiana System's Board of Supervisors.
Edward Jacobs is retiring after 14 years as dean.
Kaczvinsky has worked in the college for more than 20 years as an English professor, honors director, and head of the literature and language school.
He holds a doctorate in English from Penn State University, a master's from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree from Providence College.
