Tropical Depression #4 has formed over the Atlantic near the Cape Verde Islands. Winds are 35mph with higher gusts. The depression is expected to become Tropical Storm Dorian over the next day or so. Upper level winds are quite strong over the central part of the Atlantic so development is expected to be slow.
It will take five to seven days to cross the Atlantic and areas near the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico could see wind and rain associated with this system early next week.
