Taco Festival Venue Changed after Permit Denied

The Festival del Taco has a new venue after Abbeville city officials denied the festival a permit. Mayor Mark Piazza says the city council denied the request at a special meeting earlier this week because the city attorney noticed incomplete information on the festival group's insurance certificate. The festival's Facebook page says the event will still be held tomorrow, but in Opelousas at the Farmers' Market Pavillion at Le Vieux Village.
