LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Seven parish libraries in southwest Louisiana are sharing their online downloadable holdings. People who have library cards from those parishes can now borrow nearly 6,000 items including e-books, audio books, music and videos.
The American Press reports that Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline, Jeff Davis and Vernon parish library systems joined digital libraries earlier this month as the LSW Libraries Digital Library.
They already were part of the Libraries Southwest consortium, known as LSW. That group also includes school and academic libraries.
The collaborative electronic library is now available at http://lsw.lib.overdrive.com.
