Suspicious Package Partially Shutdown HWY 182

Quite a bit of police activity Sunday afternoon along Highway 90 in Broussard.
This after a car refused to pull over for a deputy and the occupants of the car began to throw things out of the vehicle along the roadway. Not knowing what the material or what the objects were, there was initially concern that they may have been hazardous. After further investigation, everything turned out to be fine and the scene is now clear.
The suspects are still on the run.
