Suspected 'BIA' Creator Still in Jail

*Update at 6:10 Friday, Chris Hebert has bonded out of jail.

The man widely-reported to be behind "Busted in Acadiana" is still in jail following his arrest on Wednesday.

We reported Christopher Hebert had bonded out of jail when his mugshot was removed from the Sheriff Office's website on Thursday. However, today the mugshot is back on the site. When we called deputies, they told us he did not bond out. There is no clear reason why the mugshot was not available on Thursday. Bond remains set at $50,000.

Lafayette police arrested Christopher Hebert and charged him with stalking and cyberstalking. Those charges stem from a Lafayette Parish woman's complaint claiming Hebert threatened her via the internet and over phone messages dating back to November, 2010.

Corporal Paul Mouton with the Lafayette Police Department could not give specific details about comments allegedly made by Hebert to the woman.

Christopher Hebert was first reported as the creator of Busted in Acadiana by The Independent Weekly. KATC has not independentally confirmed that information, but the paper cites individuals close to Hebert as well as internet domain registration records.

Cpl. Mouton adds that Hebert's stalking and cyberstalking charges are not associated with Busted in Acadiana.

Court officials tell us this morning Hebert appeared in front of a judge and was advised of his bond and told that if he were to bond out, he could not have any contact with his alleged victim.
